The Foundation of Prayer (Psalm 118)

Are your prayers answered in the physical realm? The foundation of prayer begins with repentance, which God brings us to through suffering. After we get honest, give up the game, and earnestly say, “I will have Jesus,” the promises of God become stones that build the foundation of prayer. In Jesus, all of these promises are Yea and Amen! Let the Holy Spirit teach you this foundation of prayer! (Unfortunately we lost much of the welcome due to some technical problems.)

God’s Purpose in Our Suffering

Is being a Christian hard? This is true only if you’re trying in your own strength and power to be a Christian. The good news is that real righteousness, just like salvation, is a free gift from Jesus. The gospel doesn’t require you to white knuckle the monsters in your life. Power and victory come when we die to self, give Jesus total control, and endure all hardship and suffering as the necessary discipline from God to make us holy.…

The Gates of Righteousness! (Psalm 118)

Repentance and righteousness are not God’s end for the Christian. Instead, they are stepping stones to intimacy and fellowship with Jesus. This intimacy comes at a high price: suffering, discipline, and consciously and deliberately giving up control of your life to Jesus. He will deal with the monsters in your life if you simply trust Him and not turn away. Have you given everything into the hand of Jesus or do you believe that you somehow can defeat these monsters in your life…

Have You Been Saved from Your Sin? (Hebrews 2)

This is the fourth broadcast in a series on the exposition of Hebrews verse by verse. Today Pastor Ray asks the question as to whether you are saved or not? Have you been crucified with Christ? Is Jesus totally in charge of your life as demonstrated by your behavior? Allow the dynamite of God to transform you as you suffer and are transformed by the process of crucifixion.

Caring Enough?

Today’s broadcast involves another biography from the series “They Knew Their God.” This one concerns a dear brother named George Railton. This brother made a choice very early in his life to only care what Jesus cared about, in a real substantive way not in a sentimental way that many view Jesus. This exacted a very high price, which he willingly paid. Do you care about what Jesus cares about? That’s exactly where he wants to bring each of us…

The Heart Cry For Holiness

There is a transition happening to those who are part of the National Prayer Chapel, whether you physically go there or you’re listening to the broadcasts and sermons. Jesus focus is to build the kingdom of God. He’s taking us to a place where we give up the need to be somebody and all of the pride of our heart has been emptied. The painful point in all this is that the transition comes through suffering. There’s one primary idea…

The Fruit of a Sinner and a Saint

Many who profess Christ will find themselves shut out of the kingdom because they were not willing to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Jesus. The day is coming when every man will be judged by his works, and you must be found having real righteousness, not mere profession. Will you set your mind to not turn away from the living God, or will you go through life with a self-centered profit-loss mentality? Today, if you will hear…
