#13: A Man Clothed In Rags

Do you have a great burden on your back? When you begin to read the book of Romans, if you will not use the modern churches’ tinted glasses, conviction of sin will grow in your heart. You will feel the heavy burden on your back. But a pathway of escape has been opened for you by Jesus. The forgiveness of sin is by faith. Righteousness is by faith and not by works, but it is not make-believe righteousness. In this study we will look at the provision made for us.

Romans 5:9-21

#12: The Devil’s Paradise

Every evil thought and every violent act is flooding our world. America, once a bright light on a hill, has been stripped and turned into a prison filled with greed, anger, lust, and every other unclean thing! We are living in the “Devil’s Paradise!” But Jesus has opened a “Way” of escape. This “Way” is not the way of religion; it is Jesus Himself. Jesus is a narrow pathway of holiness out of this “Devil’s Paradise” straight into the Paradise Of God! Are you traveling this high way to heaven or are you stuck in the “Devil’s Paradise?”

#11: America Is Dying

Scriptures: Romans 5:1-2; Titus 1:16; 2:11-14; Hebrews 10:1-10

As America unravels, it is time to turn to Jesus. We are not yet seeing the wrath of God on our nation. What we are seeing is the removal of His blessing, the removal of His protection, and the removal of His peace. Paul opens Romans 5 speaking about this peace of God. This peace that comes for those who have been made righteous by faith.

Romans 5 marks a clear line of transition from the external standing of legal righteousness under the law, to regenerative change within the soul. This is the righteousness grounded in the shed blood of Jesus not a Levitical animal. Reconciliation is a state in actual righteousness.

Abraham not only had faith, he was obedient. He lived under the everlasting covenant prior to the atoning sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. He walked in obedience and faith with respect to the things that were not as yet, as though they were; in hope he believed not weakening in his faith. Simply put, he saw the impossible, saw the promises and acted on them. To believe God then is to be obedient. Obedience is the condition for faith, so faith was reckoned to him for righteousness. Remember real faith in the Old Testament is fidelity to God!

#9: The Deep Water of the Gospel

The Apostle Paul in Romans 4 moves in a sweeping transition to take up legal/forensic righteousness to establish righteousness in Jesus that is by faith. Paul moves righteousness from law to grace, from Moses to Jesus. But make no mistake, he is clearly speaking in a real regenerative sense, not merely reckoned as in the systems of the “sinning Christian.” Abraham then is an ideal man of faith because he was both of the “Everlasting Covenant” and the “Old Covenant.” After the shedding of the blood of Christ, righteousness consists of being made into a new creation, free from all sin, rejoicing in Jesus!

#8: Prophecy For North America

Pastor Roy L. Kin gave the first prophecy of North America being split in two 38 years ago. He does not claim to be a prophet, but rather a pastor. He shared this prophecy not to frighten anyone, but to ask us to “watch and be prepared for what is to come!” What lies ahead will not be easy to endure and you will be in great danger. Insanity will rule the land. Justice will become a forgotten practice and truth a forgotten word, and wickedness will rule over our nation.

#7: Made Righteous By Grace

Scripture Readings: Matthew 16:24-28; Romans 3:21-26; Ezekiel 36:26-27; Hebrews 10:1-4; 9:14-15

God set forth His Son — an atonement. On the basis of that shed blood God made the supreme provision for righteousness IN FACT. So, legal justification — to declare as just — must, on the ground of the atonement, give way to being MADE RIGHTEOUS. Under the law men were justified in the declarative or forensic sense. Sin was not removed, but merely PASSED OVER, because the blood of a
Levitical animal could never take away sin. But the supreme provision, the shed blood of Jesus, prevailed, doing what the Law or the blood of the Levitical animal could never do — TAKE AWAY SIN AND MAKE RIGHTEOUS! Sin was both forgiven and removed from the life of a true believer as an act of grace by faith!

#6: What Will You Give In Exchange For Your Soul?

Scriptures: Matthew 16:24-27

Compare Romans 3:20 with Romans 2:13 and it becomes clear that Romans 3:20 should be translated “therefore no one will be MADE RIGHTEOUS in His sight by observing the law.” The Greek word dikaioo occurs in Romans 15 times and 6 times in this chapter (vv. 4, 20, 24, 26, 28, 30). In this chapter Paul rises to profound heights of revelation knowledge, showing each of us how God delivers us from our sin!

The Book of Romans follows the teachings of Jesus regarding the necessity of being made righteous. We must deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Jesus to a full and complete crucifixion, in order to be MADE RIGHTEOUS by the power of Jesus blood!

#5: The Root Of Sin

A darkness lies deep in the soul of men and women, boys and girls, like a beast ready to devour! We can dress it up in 21st century Western civilization, but the beast is alive and well. The beast can only be put down and destroyed by the blood of Jesus! In Him we can be free, we can be clean,we can be made righteous, we can become new creatures. We must be born again.

#4: Lift Up Your Hands To Jesus

Do you consider yourself a good person because your kind, considerate and loving? Perhaps you consider yourself a Christian. You know you are not right before God, but you trust that you are saved because of a shell game with God. You think you can be a sinning Christian because every one else is sinning. Did you know that 85% of Americans believe that when they die they will go to a better place! Where will you go when you die? Are you sure? Have you really considered what Jesus meant when He said, “If any one would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me”?

#3: The Dynamite of God

You can release the power of God in you life. But you must first be free of “legalism,” that is the belief that you can by your own effort be a good person and be saved. You must also face the facts of scripture, a “sinning Christian” is a lost Christian. The power of God is released into your life when you deny your self and take up your cross and follow Jesus.

God’s Gospel has the power to make you righteous. You will be taught by the Holy Spirit how to walk with Jesus!

#2: Sin Is Never Accidental

The classical Greek definition for sin is “missing the mark.” The Biblical definition according to the Apostle John is that “sin is lawlessness.” By the Biblical definition, sin is always voluntary rebellion against God.

#1: God’s Spell

Pastor Ray Greenley shares that Paul’s Letter to the Romans begins with God’s Gospel.  Gospel means the good message or God’s message.  The old English word gospel is made up of two words: God and Spell.  They called God’s message “Gospel” because when a person heard the message, there was a dramatic change in their life.  They were a new person and they walked without sin.
